jeremyfine
hi anybody got pics of what the sline seats actually look like, about to order car either 2.4 or 3.0 sline cab but not sure what sline seats are like and if the 3.o is really so much better peformance wise ???? I think it prob is after testdrive but would appreciate views from other drivers ?
Phantom
I would have thought S-Line seats in the cab will be Sport Seats ?, following the S4 seat thread last week the cab is somewhat restricted on what seats can be fitted due to rear access issues

Go for the 3-litre if the extra cost and fuel consumption aren't an issue. If they are, go for the 1.8T instead.
UBM
There's an S-line 1.8T cab in my local stealers at the moment. The seats didn't look like the normal S-line seats in the saloon/avant, just like normal sports seats...but it did have nice s-line badges on the rear panels at the sides and on the steering wheel... Chav
The sline seats are dual-tone, light grey inners with black outers. I dont like them, but its personal taste... The performance of the 3.0 will be noticeable over the 2.4 if you like to get from A to B very briskly. Both the 2.4 and 3.0 are smooth though. The cab is heavy, so the additional performance of the 3.0, makes it comparable to an A4 saloon s-line, whereas the 2.4 would feel a tad slower. UBM
The one in the stealers in Cambridge had leather seats, but I'm not sure they were two different colours....if you're close, perhaps you could pop in...
Chav
Indeed DM. I just built one on the Audi Configurator and the only s-line cab seats option was Black?
UBM
That's what I remember thinking last week - how nice the all black leather interior looked.

[/ QUOTE ] I've seen a red s-line Cab in a dealers. It had half leather seats - black leather with silver/grey cloth or other material - sorry, I don't know what it is/was. But it looked very smart. Aluminium trim in the doors, around the dash and around the gear lever too. 18-inch five-spoke wheels on it.
Chav
was it brilliant red? i like brilliant red cabs, very summery :-) That would be my second favourite after black. (pitch black I mean, none of this metallic charcoal nonsense)

It's one of the non-metallic colours that does look good in these days when everything is metallic or pearl effect.
lmmlmmam
The performance of the 3.0 is really good. I had an extended demo in a 2.4 cab and it was nothing like. Seemed sluggish (particularly at lower revs) and thirsty. Only problem with the 3.0 is the cost new. I solved that by buying 2nd hand. I'm much happier with a 2nd hand 3.0 than I would be with a brand new 1.8T (which is the acknowledged value/ economy engine choice). For me the 1.8T is a little too gruff for the cab. jeremyfine
yup those were exactly my thoughts the 2.4 seemed way too slugish after driving the 3.0--just to decide if sline or sports with leather upgrade.....HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM just need to know what the 1/2 leather is like and if i will love or hate it. Althouh with my TT at the mo its either boiling in summer or freezing in winter so like the idea of it..........
lmmlmmam
If you're not that keen on full leather then Leather/Alcantara is an absolutely top option. I'd knock the silly 's-line' bit on the head and buy yourself a 3.0 sport with Alcantara.
