helfinger
Awesome-gti are selling them. I have been considering one. they are £699 + post we could look at a group buy maybe? http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/catalog/pro...e6efbffbc134263
helfinger
info about them: The Haldex Performance Part will greatly improve the performance and handling of your Audi TT Quattro or Volkswagen R32. The kit consists of a new electronically controlled valve body, gaskets, and necessary hardware. By re-tuning your vehicle's AWD system, power is more aggressively directed to the rear wheels under a wide variety of driving conditions. This results in more neutral handling characteristics and better off the line acceleration. This system does not intefere with ABS or Traction Control Systems. This a simple plug-n-play application, no modifications necessary!
Decked
Would the US version be the same as this unit from Awesome-Gti, The unit is less than £500 from the States.
Mollox
Wish I'd known about this when I had to fork out for a new Haldex unit! I wouldn't say its a simple "plug and play" though. From what I understand the haldex unit (on the S3) at least is not that accessible and has a nasty habit of spilling its oil on unsuspecting tinkerers! I'm sure its not that hard but its not quite popping the bonnet and unclipping a sensor...
Markallain
Any warrenty issues to be concerned about by replacing this?
mattcony
At the moment these cost £420 in the USA, shipping on top and that would be a massive saving over "Awesome's" price ! Even if you got clobbered for import duty you would still be saving $$$ (does anyone know what import duty would be on that price ?) We could sort our own group buy from the USA if there really was enough intrest. Just a thought cheers matt
Decked
I'd be up for a group buy!!! No idea on the duty though! Isn't it 17.5%????

wrh3
Haldex HPP is a must have, makes the R32 "feel" more rear biased than front biased and makes it easier to rotate on demand.....just installed mine this weekend and their is a small dribble of oil (does not require replacement) and it took about an hour to install using ramps in my garage. This is the bet your Haldex Gen I gets :-) If you are curious how the installation goes, I have posted the instructions and other helpful pics on my R32 page on my www.....
