[/ QUOTE ] No, it's the 1.9 (130). Where am I going wrong?! Or is it because its only done a few thousand miles??
Rustynuts
Mileage will improve as you get a few thousand miles on it. Remember, it's not going to be fully run in until you get 60,000 or so on it. Does it use any oil at all? They do have a tendency to lose some oil past the turbo seal if you don't drive it hard enough, so don't baby it too much or any fuel savings will be eaten up with expensive (506.01) oil topping up. The last on I had did better with 28,000 on the clock than this one does at the moment with 8,000.
danksy
Mine has done 32000 miles in 1 year, and has used approx 2Ltrs of oil outside of the services. Being the quattro version I never expected too much economy, but I do hammer it everywhere!
Sparky
I had to top it up, although no oil warning light came on - it was just me thinking it could be higher. I do push the car quite a bit so I knew I'd never see the 600miles per tank that some do, but 430 miles did seem somewhat low.
eolair
500 or so if I thrash it or do loads of stupid short journeys. 600 average, including some steady pace motorway jaunts 700 if I drive reasonably and go light on the accelerator. Sparky
Good. someone close to my average mileage then! How true is it that you consume 30% more fuel the instant you go over 70mph? Or is this crap to make you think about speeding on the motorways?!

Rustynuts
Best way I know to improve fuel economy is to sell that petrol engined Cab and come back to the soot farters! Sorry.

gizze
I get around 450 miles before I re fill, always re fill just before the light comes on generally so I guess about 50 litres of diesel used for that milage.
