Ben
More than likely something already discussed but I can't find the answer (well, not in the 10 minutes my patience has allowed). Do I have to encode the music again to get it into my Phatbox? Already have the music in ipod iTunes thingy but don't want to go through it again. Cheers boys and girls, Ben
Snail
What format did you use with iTunes? if they are MP3 shouldn't be a problem, im not sure what other formats phatnoise supports.
Ben
I just used the default for both Phatnoise and iPod. If I had to make a choice it would have been MP3. I'll have a look later. Cheers Ben
Ben
Right, looks like the iPod stuff is in MPEG4. So if I encode the iPod tunes in the future as mp3, will the Phatnoise s/w recognise it? Cheers Ben
Snail
Ben, from looking at the website, it looks like phatnoise supports :- MP3, WMA, FLAC, and AAC. I think i tunes does MP3 and AAC, so the choice is yours. AAC is lossless, so you should get an exact copy of the original, whereas MP3 is more widely supported.
