UBM
So, which would be best. I would want quick speed and ability to cruise easily...

Chav
although I'm not really that biased.... I had the s-line 1.8T before. Performance of the two is similar, the 3.0 has the edge as the power doesn't die when the turbo is out of range and its silky smooth and sounds a great deal better. The good torque also means it can be very relaxed if you want. But I get 380-400 miles from a tank with the 3.0 which is the same as I used to get with the 1.8T. hashluck
Yep 3.0 all the way, providing you are not paying company car tax and cannot afford/don't want an S$

UBM
Ta - would have to be the 3L sport then!
Ari
Definitely the nicest drive this side of an S4, but the fuel bills will really hurt after a 1.9TDi!
UBM
I don't use the cat all that much - so I could probably afford to run a bigger engine. Only thoughts at this stage...
breezy69
I've been very happy with the performance and fuel economy of the 2.4 and when compared to the 1.8T it sounds brilliant. A bit more mid-range torque would be good, but don't knock the 2.4 too much. Breezy
