Jape
I did not know that was not allowed! Howcome it appears automatically in the postage/payment details box when you first list the item? I'm confused
Paul
its not im afraid.. no idea why it popped up. maybe it coppied it across from your last advert? They do tend to remember the last setting etc like postage costs.. Surcharge rules in full here.. [ QUOTE ] eBay prohibits surcharging by sellers except where described below. Surcharging occurs when sellers pass the charges they incur for using eBay or third party services such as payment services onto buyers. Specific examples are explained below for your guidance: 1. Electronic Money Services: Sellers who accept electronic money services as a means of payment for an item purchased on eBay, may not impose a surcharge. Electronic money services include, but are not limited to, services such as PayPal, Nochex, FastPay or Moneybookers. [/ QUOTE ] hope this helps mate, i realise it was not intentional, but unfortunately there is alot on ebay that flaunt the rules and know full well. Colin M
It copied any terms you wrote when you last sold an item. Better to edit your sale and remove that clause as Ebay will pull your auction and not refund your fees if they find it (or someone reports it). Don't worry about Paypals charge, you'll find you'll get better sale results from more bidders who are able to use Paypal rather than faff around sending cheques etc. Nett result is a higher sale price. Jape
[ QUOTE ] Better to edit your sale and remove that clause [/ QUOTE ] Hi Colin, I tried that, but it won't let me change anything as bidding is underway... Needless to say, you can all ignore the fee as I won't be charging it! I just hope no-one reports me in the meantime....
Blaa
Isn't there something called 'information added by seller' or something? That you can do while the auction is underways?
