BMW E46 Cabriolet. Glovebox stuck and PDC issues

I have just bought an E46 330 Sport Cabriolet and I love it. Just have a few problems I wondered if anyone can help ?

Glovebox won't open took latch apart and can't see the problem its like a piece of plastic is missing. Has anyone a picture of how this works so I can compare ?

Basically the metal piece thats pushed over to nove the two latches over aint being pushed over and I can't see how it would be ?

Also my Park distance beeps when reverse is engaged but does nothing else ? Car was valeted prior to me collecting it so I suspect water has got in the sensors can anyone advise how to dry out or repair ?

Is it under warranty? If so, just take it in and get them to waste time on fixing it, rather than you wasting your own time.

Hi, I've just bought an E46 320ci and it's coming up with the same problem in reverse gear. Sometimes it won't do anything at all and sometimes it does a long beep and then nothing (not even if I get close to anything). Just wondering if you found out what the problem is or how to fix it. I think it's just irritating having a function you can't use!

Welcome to TSN Steven. I haven't seen another post from Sideways since the above, but I could be wrong. You might find it worthwhile just asking a dealer to take a quick look at it. They're not going to charge you unless you ask them to fix it and it'll at least give you a definitive answer.

Hopefully though, Sideways might check the thread again and be able to give you an update.

Hi M3Me thanks for the welcome and the update. I will probably do what you say and let the dealers work it out, but that can wait until it's in for a service or something. Will still keep checking to see if Sideways comes back with anything.
