a6steve
Hi Everyone, I've just bought a 98 A6 Avant 2.8SE which somebody has spent a lot of cash on both in servicing and in making it look like an RS6 with big alloys, badges etc. I think it looks great but could do with being lowered about 1.5 inches. (I know from my splitscreen camper owning days that this both improves the drive and looks good) I am fairly competent with spanners so is this just a job of buying new springs and fitting them or is it a pig to do with special tools etc. Any advice would be welcome as I don't want to ruin my nice new car. If it is a pig to do I live in Westerham, Kent, does anybody know somebody decent who would do this type of work. Thanks for any advice.
mcgough
any garage will lower your car- or you could do it your self ive done about 35-40 cars now! £50 for springs and £40-£60 for full suspension! just borrow some spring clamps off a garage if you are going to do it ya self or you can buy them for a tenner!
