NeilB
Ok we have complained enough about it on a Sunday afternoon, and have tore our hair out after spending two hours watching paint dry. But the FIA have opened up a survey to let us tell them what we want from F1 in 2007 onwards, fill it out and for gods sake let them know what we want. http://www.fia-amd-survey2005.com/

Avus_Bub
[ QUOTE ] So everyone is not watching the footy then [/ QUOTE ] No I've got a great idea for 2007. 1) Remove two wheels from each car 2) Shorten wheelbase to about 1300mm 3) Reposition engine between the wheels 4) Find some drivers with balls made of steel 5) Sit back and enjoy some REAL skill and racing that really is down to the bloke perched on top. TAKE A LOOK HERE TO GET AN IDEA
beez
Bike racing bores me. Meanwhile, I'm not watching the football, but I'm hearing a really loud 'YOU feckin IDIOT' or 'OHH YEEESSS WHAT A GOOALLL!!!!' from time to time. And occasionally a supportive 'WELL PLAYED MATE!! WELL PLAYED!!' (as though the guy can actually appreciate or hear some fat, bald bstrd sat in my living room confirming that what he gets paid to do was good.) Avus_Bub
[ QUOTE ] Bike racing bores me. [/ QUOTE ] Are you dead, blind or a Vulcan? You should try to see the next round of Moto GP (not bad on BBC but EuroSport's the best). Maybe the sight of 140kg, 240bhp 990cc prototype motorcycles being slid out of corners on opposite lock and then the top three finishing within 1.5 seconds of each other isn't everyones idea of exciting

It's my idea of boring. Sorry. Not enough bike for there to be enough carnage in a crash. A couple of weeks ago on Nascar (I'm not even going to pretend to try and spell the track name), one car took about 3 or 4 other cars out at the same time, and because they just slid right across the track, lots of smoke - no one could get past them...had to stop the race for a while (by a while I thin it was somewhere between 20 minutes and an hour). Don't be fooled though, Nascar isn't my favourite motorsport. I'm not sure which is, but I think it's probably a cross between rally and touring car. You watch motorsport for the crashes. Yeah, stick with NASCAR because apart from going round and round and round and round and round in circles for 3hrs you're always guaranteed a good crash with plenty of carnage. Who knows? A driver might even get killed in the process

NeilB
Good god, NASCAR! The sport that can equal golf, snooker and cricket on the boredom levels of this world. If you want to watch proper cars in proper races watch the TTC races (DTM, BTCC, WTCC) much better then turning left all the time like the IRL, Indy 500 and NASCAR. Thorburn
The only good racing in NASCAR is when they'd try to hustle them round the road courses, Sears Point and Watkins Glen. They show off how crude those cars really are, something stupid like 900bhp and you get the feeling you could walk round faster since they have appear to have no brakes or steering, hilarious! DTM and BTCC are both superb, need to get myself up to Thruxton next time the BTCC is on as my family are all BARC members so can get into the Clubs stand. BTCC went through a few rough years but from what I've seen on TV its looking very good now.
