Loki
Hi, Newbie poster here. Great site!! I am currently experienceing "Service INSP" on my LCD screen AFTER a service by my mech. The vehicle has always had an Audi service except the last one. Is there a quick fix? I.e. press the reset button whilst engine off and then hold while turning on ignition or does it have to go back for a special tool? Thanks in advance for your advice. gizze
It should say in the manual how to reset the service indcator, if not then you need to plug in VagCom or a reset tool. Have you got the manual for yours? Oh and welcome!
BenjaminTDI
Yeah as gizze says it is in the manual, think it's under the section which tells you about the service indicator and there is reset instructions. Good luck!

Loki
Thanks guys, I do have the manual but I was hoping there was a quick fix that someoen knew about rather than going back to Audi for more expense.

[/ QUOTE ] In my manual it describes a quick fix if the service mechanic has forgotton to reset the indicator. It is very simple from what I remember. Loki
Sorted. The manual spells out how to reset the lights. I thought that Audi would have kept that a secret. Many thanks for the advice and time.
Sparky
Strange that it's in the manual - although well done Audi for doing so. I had to strap a VW techy to a chair and burn the tips of his fingers one by one until he told me how to do it. Why can't all manuals contain useful info like that. UBM
Welcome to the site Loki! Glad you got it sorted - they probably forgot to rest it after the "service"....
