Rich
Can't believe it, here I am watching 5th Gear and my Mum is saying something about 2 guys came round and parked an old Orion half up the kirb, just down the road...both strangely sitting front and back on the passenger side. Anyways, it turns out they have buggered off and set the car alight! Had to call the fire brigade, and its out! I live in a small quiet dead end road, its half way down, in view of most of the houses. A few others saw them too, how well they can be identified??? I just can't believe they had the cheek/guts to do such a thing in such a road! The local area is not exactly a high crime area and as I said we live in a very quiet road (but too residential to be out of the way) I just can't believe it happened! I hope this is not the start of things to come! Rich

JamesB
I'm afraid this is simply further proof that society is losing its self-respect. I blame the parents who should be teaching them to do this sort of thing to a 1-series instead.

Chav
[ QUOTE ] Shoot them both!!!! [/ QUOTE ] That's a bit OTT don't you think? Better to just shoot one of them... Then the other can go crying to his chav mates and scare the crap out of them!

Someone my Dad works with caught a couple of kids trying to nick petrol out of his car, so ended up chasing them down the road. Later that night he got a visit from a much larger and older group of people who gave him a free, but painful trip to the hospital! I can understand why people choose to turn a blind eye and not get involved! Rich

Rich [/ QUOTE ] Feck1ng scum!!!! its amazing you try and catch someone doing something wrong and end up getting attacked by a group of idiots...Id honestly like to be there when cowards like that get theirs we used to get a few of those burned out cars in our old n'hood and if nothing its dangerous (well quite obviously really) as a few of them went in flames that were out of control, now we were luckier in that it was in a large carpark, but to do it in a residential road is just plain
MOSE
Should chase em down the road, and set light to them. Teach em not to play with matches wont it??

[/ QUOTE ] Thats a good idea! It was not unti they had gone that we realised flames in the car. Managed to get them out before they really took control of the car, the interior has had it but externally looks quite normal...except the smashed windows! In our amazement it was actually taken away this morning! Now thinking of getting some cctv, mainly to cover our house, but also to try and cover the road just in case. Something I have actually wondered, would a car on fire actually explode? Apparently they left petrol in the boot as well!
