Mollox
Am I right in thinking that they both run the same hardware with the only difference being 64mb RAM for the 700 vs 32mb for the 500 (does this impact speed at all?) The 700 has a hard drive, the 500 doesn’t The 700 comes with a remote control The 700 has street level European maps wheras the 500 has “major roads” whats this?? Are there any other obvious differences? Tempted to just get the 500 and perhaps buy a remote (not that you need it) Can you “add” full Europe maps to the 500 via the SD card? CarMad
Nope they must not allow it on these purchases. Although on the same site they have this NHS247.. only 5% though. So £522 with the voucher. I got a washing machine with free delivery, 10% off and because I used my egg card at Currys.co.uk and extra 5% cash back

Ta [/ QUOTE ] Thats about right. I have a 500 and it's brilliant. Don't need europe maps, never drive there and If did it's easy to get the maps. 500 shows the major roads in europe ie: main routes Motorways etc. Can't see the point in a remote ! and if i did can get one off ebay for £30 ! Loads of free downloads on the net if you search for "Tomtom free" ! All in all 500 does me just fine
