Sparky
If you install an external capture card and connect via S-VHS to your Sky+ box and set the Sky+ box to "COPY" in the Planner you could off-load programmes to your laptop. There are many USB2 capture devices around. All depends on what you want to spend.
dblp
Many thanks, Don't want to spend too much - it's not really the video, more of the audio (MTV Dance etc). Any recommendations as to brands of capture device?
Snail
dblp, If all you want to do is record the audio, get a RCA->Headphone cable (£2ish), connect the audio out of your sky+ box with your laptops line-in, then use your music software (itunes, musicmatch, etc) to capture the music. Id recommend capturing in "wav" format, as its fairly easy to edit the bits you dont want out, any other format (MP3, WMV, etc) will have to be converted back to wav before editting anyway. Sparky
If it's only Audio, could you not just record from the Radio? You can get USB radio sticks for not much ££.
