Everyone is open to their own opinion of course, so far I think I have mostly chosen worthwhile upgrades

Have the new air vent rings helped with performance then? coffee.gif

The answer to that question is in my original post cos i knew i would get openfire.gif for those darn aluminium bling rings grin.gif

I must be getting old. I did a similar list of 'wants' for my car but it was all hidden, no bling whatsoever. Strut braces, anti roll bars, dogbones, Haldex ecu, brake upgrades. Perhaps I should add a pair of comfortable slippers, a pipe and a hat to my list.

Interesting list 50p wink.gif

I don't do bling, but if you want to improve the handling of your car then you might want to consider extending your list to include uprated anti-roll bars front and rear (Neuspeed), lower front strut brace (Neuspeed again). Not an expensive upgrade option and well worth while for dialing out understeer.

Glad to see you'ev got the Haldex upgrade on the list, but Lambo style doors..?

Upper and lower front strut braces, front and rear anti roll bars and a Haldex ECU is £1200 not fitted. smashfreakB.gif I suppose its cheaper than Lambo doors. beerchug.gif

Depends what you want your car to do and what your definition of expensive is!

Add in £1800 for the ECS brake upgrade, £3300 for the AmD Stage 4, £1K for the Bilstein PSS9 suspension set up...

Then add a big chunk more to go to AmD Stage 6 (when it's released). It's never ending... ROLLEY~14.GIF

Its always the problem with modifying. Take a good car, spend £10-20,000 on it and you've got something unique that can humble cars costing 2-3 times that but not everyone will appreciate what you've done! Look at this way:

1 x R32 £20k

1 x Supercharger/turbo kit £5k

Suspension and roll bars £3k

Brake upgrades £2.5k

Total £30.5k

Now tell me what you can buy that will handle, accelerate, and make you feel good to drive, and be a bit more subtle than say a Scooby, for that sort of money. With 400bhp you are going to worry 911 Turbos and Audi RS6/4s costing twice as much

With 310 bhp it will outrun a 911(996) Carrera 4 and will keep up with an M3. The supercharger Stage 2 (350+ bhp) is to get into new model M5, Impreza Type25 and Evo FQ340 territories...

Not sure about the RS6 though... ECLIPSe.gif

Mauve - Kim Collins at QSTuning was at a track day recently in his tuned RS4 (I think its got over 500bhp!) and he said Vagtech car was up his chuff all day. Very hard to shake off. And thats 400bhp and suspension mods. All down to driver (although Kim is pretty tasty behind the wheel, its his car whereas the Vagtech one is a demonstrator and thats like a hire car to anyone who gets a drive of it!)

I've decided against the turbo conversion as per my thread last week - link.

AmD reckon that, when (not if) they start doing the VF Engineering Stage 2 supercharger add-on (intercooler and smaller pulley, so more pressure) they should be able to crank 350+ bhp from an R with stock cams.

Schrick are releasing a new set of cams to work with the VF supercharger and I also run the EIP CAI and high pressure fuel reg so, with a custom remap developed specifically for the characteristics of my car I am hoping to get 360+ bhp.

I'm happy to have a go at an RS4 any day... 169144-ok.gif
