Phatnoise Music Manager...grrrrrr!

Hi guys, I'm in the process of loading the PMM database with CD's into MP3's..All going nicely till this morning when the music manager (up to date version) will not now recognize any CD's I ask it to burn. It just sits there and the CD player isn't responding....Helpppppppp!!!!!

Don't encode your cd's with PMM, use another (better) program.

I use EAC (Exact Audio Copy) & have not had one problem & according to the boffins who know, it is one of the best bits of encoding software around (+ it's free).

I only use the PMM for transfering music to the cartridge.

Cheers mate, had to replace the feckin cd writer too after all the messing about today, the lens was goosed!!!

I've been playing with EAC and I always get 32kbps mp3 files. I've actually triedc 128, 256 and 320 but I always get 32.

Download the latest Lame MP3 encoder & run that as an external encoder through EAC, should work fine.

That's what I've got (Lame). Do I need to configure that as well. It seemed to be a simple installed where it just points at the Lame exe.
