Botang
Just had to replace the exhaust system on our Mercedes V Class, less than 3 years old. Cost of part and fitting over £1000 What do you think?
beez
woosh! Think my zorst was £50 when it split in the middle. I fit it myself. However, I was wondering the same thing (I suspect mine will last far less time than yours)

RS4_Barry
My mate works in a merc dealership and he reckons the V-class is one of the dearest mercs to run. Exhausts are very common and for some reason ain't up to the standards of other mercs. Just thank yourself you haven't had the other common prob - wiring faults / interior fires !!!!! Botang
It's not been without troubles, fuel pumps and suspension systems, but no fires as yet.
RS4_Barry
He was telling me about a 85000 mile old airport taxi v-class with a whopping £21K of warranty work on it over 2 years!!!!
skifly
yeah well i have just had the stealer offer to buy back my a-class with suspension problems for nearly 2k over best p/x price i have had so far. Not great i know but when they put one side of the car's suspension rattling badly down to "a characteristic" of the vehicle i start to get worried. Also when i told the stealer (stealership manager) that morally i would have to declare the problems if i sold the car privately he responded by telling me not to bother as they wouldnt!! Nice. Never again with a merc - oh and forgot to tell him his loaner is a good 300 miles away and they will have to pick it up if they want it back!!!
