[Audi A3/S3] Brembo Gran Turismo Brakes

Has anybody got or had these on their A3/S3, if so what do you reckon? I'm looking at doing some track days and thought it might be sensible to uprate the brakes beforehand...

Not had them myself but seriously looked at buying them a month ago. From what i can gather they suffer badly from warping and are not immune to brake fade either. I believe the Fiat Coupe Turbos use the same brakes and i know they suffer very badly from warping issues.

Gonna have to be a 2 piece design methinks, IE Porsche.

I had a Leon Cupra R before the A3 which had the equivalent of the Brembo GT set up. Pads lasted 10k if you were lucky and the disks not much more plus were horendously expensive to replace . Not worth the cost and hastle if you ask me. Might be worth seeing if you can get the parts from a 3.2 which has hoooog mothers on it.

Are the 3.2s grooved or drilled?

i fink ther jus standard discs with no drilling or grooves.they are massive though

Not kidding. We just picked up our 3.2 today and the front discs completely fill the wheel... Not grooved, but they are ventilated.

I have them and they are good but if you try to use them out of the street like in the track, they wont work good. those are yust for street use only

if you look at jbr's website they sell some ecs kits that use porsche calipers etc. on audisport alot of users are looking at them rather then the brembo's for various reasons.
