Spotted the following: Porsche 911 C2S (brand new, 2 days old....I know this because it's my colleagues and he's part exchanged his Bentley Continental GT for it! I got the shock of my life but he said the GT just wasn't involving enough for him). The C2S is VERY high spec. Ceramic brakes, the lot. In silver it looks very very nice and had the grand total of 91 miles on the clock! NEW VW Passat - on the back of a transporter heading Northbound on the A1 near Leeming Bar. This is one very nice looking car. Lovely new shape at the back. Very crisp and clean looking with nice subtle lettering. I think we'll be seeing a lot of these if people are attracted to looks of cars primarily...because it really did look very special. Bentley Continental GT - in silver at the Peter Barratt Roundabout on Sandy Lane, Gosforth. Registration no. *** 1 (and no it wasn't Sir Peter Vardy's because I saw him yesterday and his is a deep blue colour). NEW BMW 320d - driving like a total dick. Up the arse of every car on the road including me. He didn't like it when I pulled in to let him past and then blipped the throttle....he went past waving his hands so I smiled and waved at him giving a giggle as I looked at his car....I'm a BMW owner and a BMW fan...but the new shape still doesn't look right! Then...a Saab 93 TiD came past me and went in pursuit of the 320d! Both repmobiles and repdrivers....and both driving like looneys. Mind you, the 320d pulled away quickly from the Saab on a long stretch as I remained at a safe distance and watched their little 'mines quicker than yours' games.... Combine Harvester on it's side! Yes, Northbound (as I was heading Southbound) with a COLLOSAL tailback behind! Miles and miles and miles of it. Then I heard on the radio that they'd closed the A1 Northbound and the tailback had been 5 miles at one point...nice start to the day for the poor buggers heading North! NEW VW Golf GTi - in metallic blue, looked very nice with the Monza alloys and a very attractive blonde female driving who gave me a smile and made my day! (When you get to my age and put the excess weight on things likes this make your year!). BMW M3 Cab in silver grey on the A629 near Leeds. Very clean and on a 54 plate. Imola interior. Audi A4 Cab in light metallic blue - filthy - bombing up the A1 Northbound on my return trip. A 1.8T on an 04 plate. Lotus Elise....broken down by the looks of it on the hard shoulder Northbound on the way back, near Boroughbridge. Bright orange..so he can hardly hide the embarassment unfortunately! Other than that the roads seemed quite spartan of exotica today. Decent trip mind you as I made it back up in an hour and 40 minutes - as opposed to the 2 hours 15 minutes trip down there. I just gave the road it's off - there's about 20 roads off that road and then about 15 roads off the right road from Royal Park Road. Someone needs to have a MASSIVE grude to bother with that!
