Daz
How strange - I've just parked next to a Dolphin Grey 3.0 Cab that also has tinted windows. Looked OK - I was thinking about putting a light tint on mine.

lottiefox
I'm with you Chav, think that looks veeeerryy nice! Whats different about its rear? Or am I just hallucinating?
Chav
The cab has the ABT bodykit too. I've mentioned the rear in a separate thread ... it looks fantastic though in the pic. Not keen on the front though....
Daz
Lottie, it's got the ABT rear spoiler and what looks like Miltek exhausts.

We've discussed it before I think, and people suggested the tints may come off because the windows go up/down etc into the roof. But really, they don't go up/down any more than in a normal car. Can't find a pic of tinted windows on a cab with the roof down though.... that's the bit that worries me.

I've always liked those on black cars. Think the orange contrasts really well and adds to the look. Wonder if thats a legal retro-fit thing to do? lmmlmmam
Smart motor Bub but would you want to clean those wheels.
DeanW
They look too dark to me, too much of a contrast against the silver window trim. A lighter tint may look ok but I wouldn't bother - even on a black car. Tints do look good on saloon cars though but against a contrasting exterior - I had them on my Topaz Blue 3 series and I thought they finished the car off. You buy a cabriolet to be seen in, why hide behind tinted windows?

DeanW
[ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] Doesn't look good with the standard 18" wheels, would be more suited to a car with 19s that's been lowered Still waiting for the one I bought off of Ebay - seller's emailed me today though and it should be here for the weekend
Chav
You see the air vent covers in that pic... they seem to extrude slightly from the front of the car (as in the B6 S4). Do the B6 S4 cab ones extrude forwards? I havent swapped those over, as they look virtually identical in the pics I've seen, but if they do extrude slightly that looks cool and is worth the 20 quid and if only the S4 saloon/avant ones extrude, wonder if they'll fit on the cab?
