malagus
I dont really use that sort of stuff, though I use rain-X when going away or in really bad winters, but I think that for the money, just have a good screenwash, and clean regularly. Avus_Bub
I've used RAIN-X for years and it really is great stuff. I treat the whole car about 2 or 3 times a year and do the winscreen once a month. For the first week or so you don't even need to turn the wipers on at speeds of 35+ It makes cleaning the windows a lot easier too and when you leather them they come up crystal clear. A £6 bottle normally lasts about a year. BUB
Drewcam
I'm a RAIN-X fan also and have used it for years. Even tried it on the tiles and glass screen in the shower You may laugh but it keep them crystal clear and less cleaning required, but i'm daft like that

I wasn't talking from a driver's perspective, just application, and effect when in the car, plus testimony from the drivers of our cars ( the parents). I'm a pretty good valeter, so I like to offer my oppinion and experience where I can. no offence taken thorby.

[/ QUOTE ] Couldnt disagree more, Rain-X with a decent washer fluid ( and maybe even a squirt of the Rain-X pink stuff ) is amazing at keeping the screen clean and smearless. Like most cleaning products, a cleaned screen cleans easier, the Rain-X stuff make a heap of difference on stopping bug smears and stuff in the summer and helps keep the salt and gunk off in the winter. I couldnt recommend it enough for any car screen / window / headlight etc... Not sure on how much a bottle it is, but I would think less than a fiver, okay, not cheap, but for me the ability to have the screen pretty much self cleaning in rain etc its a wonder :-) Luv it ! c

malagus
if like you say the bottle lasts for ages, I may have to invest in a bottle. ive been having problems with bugs on the fiat's new screen, so sounds like its worth a try again. not used it on either of the new cars yet, but will do this weekend.
