Tomk Posted August 5, 2005 Report Share Posted August 5, 2005 ok Asus socket A board, pc wont boot up , the power light on the mobo is just flashing... ive ordered a new PSU BUT ive never seen a mobo light flash before when a psu has popped... i did try stripping it back to just the one stick of memory and disconnection everythign but the boot Hard disc - Nothing... any ideas ? will the New PSU solve my problem or does it sound like the mobo has just died for no reason ? jpringle819 Posted August 5, 2005 Report Share Posted August 5, 2005 Take everything out but the CPU. If it doesn't POST it is likely to be the CPU or Mobo at fault. The only real way to tell which one it is would be to try the CPU in a similar machine.
