s4dreamer
Don't know about the engines mate, sorry, but you'll definitely need the brakes upgrading unless you want to be spread all over the back of a bus You could probably get the majority of the brake components from a car breakers - there must be quite a few VR6's which have been wrecked over the years (like mine, but fortunately not written-off). You'll probably also want to upgrade the suspension too - plenty of people offer suspension upgrades, so you shouldn't be short of places to look. If you want to do it on the cheap, you could also try a car breakers for those components too.

danksy
At a guess I reckon you'll neeed... 1) New Engine mounts (custom made?) unless your model golf had the 2.8L engine as an option (then the OEM mounts may just work!) 2) New drive shafts (maybe different lengths to the 2.0L and also stronger) 3) New Gearbox (ratios will be different, and internals stronger on the V6) 4) New suspension (due to the heavier engine/box of the VR6). 5) New Radiator (bigger) 6) New fuel pump (bigger) 7) New Water pump (bigger) 8) New ECU. In short mate, if I was you, i'd go down the route of finding a 2.8L thats been stuffed, with a decent front end. Wip out the engine& g'box, suspension, basically everything under the front bonnet (INCLUDING the ECU!) Then you might just do it! Otherwise you'll be fecking around for ages! Good luck dude, and post some pics when you've done!

vasfinest
Thanks for all the advice. I have a whole new look at things know... stick with the 2.0L powerplant and just buy a ATP stage II turbo kit. Makes life so much easier, I recommend this site to everybody who wants more power out of their 4 cyl. or Vr6.. http://8vturbo.com/products/turbomatrix.asp Thanks for Everything..
