Milo
My brother has had a Cooper S for 2.5 years now. His front tyres have almost had it (again ) and he is considering going for normal tyres rather than run flat. Has anyone done this? Can it be done? What are the implications (other than having to carry an emergency "get me home" kit)? Are there any warranty/service issues (he has the 5 year TLC service pack)? Ritey
Yes do it, the handling will improve so much, and if you get a repairable puncture, you don't have to fork out over the odds, you simply pay a tenner and carry on. Do it, doesn't affect BMW either as its a wearing part. Get some Goodyear DSG 3's
Booster
I was wondering about this when I last got my Mrs' motor new tyres. I went with runflats in the end as I really didn't want her to get stranded when I was away/p1ssed down the pub and unable to get to her. Bloody dear things they are too
Ritey
AA or RAC is a lot cheaper and a lot more useful for when you need to change your tyres next time booster
Milo
Thanks, I'll pass on the comments - I think he'll be ditching the run flats
