Blaeford
I have a 275bhp TT and as with a 2nd stage tuned car I have won out the pads AND discs. I need help with what I should get. This is what I need help with: 1. I need a full set of pads, discs, (calipers ?) 2. I really like the sounds of EBC Yellow stuff - Any comments. 3. I would like to go bigger, but in Sweden I need winter tyres 4 months of the year and I already have these in 16". cannot afford new wheels and tyres at 17"+ Winter tyres are just too expensive and rare at that size. I have 16" and they fit the car just fine with original brakes. My question is what should I get. I like the sounds of EBC, but I know I wont get any vast improvement on braking. Does anyone know of a better pad/disc and where to get them from?? Thanks for the help /G P.S. Driving a 4WD TT on pure ice with studded tyres beats the track days anyday! Woppum
If you feel like spending a bit more money get the Prosche 993 turbo front discs and pads. I put these on mine and they are very good now. They need a bit of running in but after that they provide great fade free stopping power, with less grab. All this can be doen at AmD. Cupramax
AmD aren't in Sweden and the 993 setup wont fit under 16" wheels.. tends to help if you read the post...
shao_khan
Yeah I dont know what to suggest - the 993 set up (I had this on mine) will fit behind the OEM Competition wheels, but these are 17". Would it not be worth your while looking at geting a winter set of 17's - I appreciate you said cost was an option, but at least then you could go fro a full monty brake set up?
