R32North
Talks a lot of crap in the ad !!
FiftyPence
As no minimum has been set and the wording of the title states 'VW Golf R32 330 bhp AMD supercharged - Miltek Exhaust' I wonder if the auction is simply for the exhaust and he has covered it up by including details of the vehicle to which the exhaust was fitted. Dodgy, steer clear i say

Mook
Why do you have to flame this? It could be a totally genuine car OK, so it might not be, but why not give the guy the benefit of the doubt. I started my Allroad on eBay at 99p - it attracted 27 bids in the first hour and cranked it up to £7K. The auction carried on for the full seven days, I got the price I wanted for it and the buyer was a happy bunny. He even came all the way from Aberdeen to Dorset to collect it. eBay works for me and Autotrader doesn't. FFS, if you want to find out about the car, just use the "Ask seller a question" option. Don't assume that everyone who sells a car on eBay is a crook.
R32North
220hp to start, Revo'd to 250hp, 180mph........ all tosh!! It maybe the AMD SC car but the gearing won't let it do 180mph. If the guy spent all that money on it, and was as car mad as you have to be to get an R32 SC'd, then you'd know the proper figures and the ad would read like a car enthusiasts, not like some scammer! But I'm just an untrusting git, so I would say that
Mook
[ QUOTE ] It maybe the AMD SC car but the gearing won't let it do 180mph [/ QUOTE ] 100 at 4,000 rpm 125 at 5,000 rpm 150 at 6,000 rpm 175 at 7,000 rpm... But the 330 bhp wouldn't do it because of the brick like aerodynamics of the R32, so yes, that bit's tosh. Scott at AmD reckons the supercharger stage 2 with i/cooler along the lines of Helfinger's with 360+ bhp just might get to 175 He just needs the road to try it on... R32North
I'm sure I read that for EIP (or was it HPA) to get their 600HP monster R32 to get to break the 180mph they had to install different gear ratios!!
bazza_g
yup, HPA have an option of a lengthened and hardened gear set allowing for 192.5mph @ 7200 rpm

[/ QUOTE ] I just think we have to take for granted that the seller either doesn't know too much about their car or they've spent a bit more than the quoted £8K on the s/charger upgrade
