Waylander
Alreafy looking to buy a 512/1gb memory duo pro card for my new k750i. On some fleabay sites i saw the following warning but i dont know what it means. I can play mp3s on my current 64mb card and use them as ringtones so what is this business about? Note: Transfer and playback of secured music on Memory Stick PRO Duo™ media (e.g. music purchased from online music services) is not currently possible. See www.sony.net/Products/mssupport/ for updated compatibility information. This media does support the playback of unsecured MP3 music files. Si_GTi
I too can play mp3s on my 64mb card and use them as ringtones etc. I've just swapped my 64mb card for a 512mb Duo Pro and copied some mp3s over from my PC, and they play fine plus I can assign them as ringtones and alarm tones as before, no problem. Should be OK as far as I can tell with whatever card you choose? Cheers
Waylander
cool thanks. maybe the problem is just with purchased downloads then - shouldn't be a problem. Now just to see if i settle with a 512 or 1gb. where did you get yours and for how much mate? looking on fleabay at moment myself
Si_GTi
Got mine from Dabs.com for £45 inc. VAT and postage costs, for the 512MB flavour. It should be plenty large enough for anything I want to put on the phone, average mp3 album is about 80MB and once installed the new memory card reads as 464MB (I have got a few mp3s on already so more like 484 really)... so what's that, about 6 albums? Taking into account all the other crap that'll end up on here (photos/videos/themes/etc) maybe I can get 4 albums on with space for the rest? Which is still very much overkill I really just wanted to get a card with enough capacity for me to not worry about running out of memory space in the future
