FiftyPence
Ive found that Supersprint offer a total decat pipe for the R32 at only approx £167.89 it seems quite tempting. My understanding is that a CAT absorbs the harmful gases in the exhaust system at the expense of power and maybe even sound so if I were to fit this decat pipe then power would be increased aswell as possibly sound too. It fits straight onto the OEM headers and Milltek ST centre section i have and it comes with bits for the 02 sensors to fit. What does everyone think? Luke
Is this a road or track pipe?
Decked
If it's decat it's not road legal....
dubzter
you wouldn't pass an mot with it
FiftyPence
There is no MOT system on Guernsey so I could run the decat if I wanted and wouldnt get caught unless it makes the system excessively loud for mr plod to notice. Perhaps it would improve MPG in some fantastically weird way
robin09
No MOT system?! So old blokes just drive around in their Hillman Imp's with nobody to check if their brakes etc have worked for the last ten years? Wish I lived there... FiftyPence
Thats about right although we have our fair number of police who clamp down on anything which looks suspicious. The only Hillman Imps we have over here are fully kitted out and used for the hillclimb. Ya know, who can get up a hill the fastest etc etc. We even have a local guy with a lamborghini murcielago who does the hillclimb

robin09
It sounds like some parallel universe. No doubt they go drifting in Land Rover Defenders. Is this off topic at all?

R32North
Aye, but therse a 35mph limit on the island, with other roads being 25mph.... and some aren't vene a car wide!! My old man was over visting my aunt and hired some wee Corsa / Fiesta thing and was surprised how narrow the road were to what he remembers when he lived there!! .... which does beg the question, where do you go on the island to 'express' yourself in your R32, 50p ? FiftyPence
the coast road is nice and wide. Remember though, ive just started driving again so for the time being im on L plates and stick to the speed limit in most places although ill give her a bit of throttle occasionally
