golf brake update to rs4/rs6 possible?

Hello

I want to upgrade my brake system and i would like to know if its possible to put in my vw golf tdi 110 bhp 2001 a brake kit from a audi rs4 or rs6? will it fit?my car have a 17" wheel does it need any other change?

I think you need a kit from a Leon Cupra R. Alternatively a Porsche big break kit but these only fit behind certain 17" wheel options, the rest you need spacers for.

I'd tink it will require a bit more than just spacers! The car you have and the cars the desired brakes come from have different hub station and brake set-ups; ie, hangers, calipers, disks, etc and so it you'll need some sort of conversion kit to allow the calipers and disks to be fitted.

For one the disks on the RS4 and RS6 will have a 5x112 bolt pattern where as you have a 5x110 bolt pattern, so straight off you'll need adapters to fit the disks to your hubs.

If you want bigger brakes, better off looking at the 'Big' brake kits on offer for MKIV golfs as these have been designed to bolt right onto you car.

I would try to cost up the option of Leon Cupra parts - they are brembo brakesso pretty good replacement items.
