Remap, cams, exhaust and sports cats should get you near the 300hp mark... does depend on the profile of the cams tho. I was looking at the ECS 2pce brake upgrade, but they gooved / drilled OEM replacements look like a good value option - whats you opiion of them over stock ? lenny
@ SixDegrees - the OEM ECS upgrade is well worth the money... They stop the car much better... They are cheaper than OEM items as well! @ dubzter - This spending on the R will have to stop sometime!
Mook
[ QUOTE ] R32 - custom code, Miltek high flow cats, miltek exhaust, AEM CAI, Shrick cams... Should make 280bhp with that spec? [/ QUOTE ] Very difficult to comment not knowing whose remap JBR are using or which Schrick cams you are going for. The AmD Stage 4 (ST4) uses 264 degree or 268 degree inlet cams (there are two options - the 268 set has a longer duration). The ST4 upgrade includes cams, full Milltek inc sports cats and should produce 300+ bhp. Adding a CAI and a high pressure fuel reg should push this to 310+ bhp. The AmD remap, however, is the big key to this. If you're "only" after 280 bhp, then you could achieve this with a full Milltek with sports cats, CAI and a remap, preferably AmD, because as far as I know, Revo, APR and others don't offer remaps above the standard one which gives you around 250+ bhp, but this is your call. Oh, and BTW, it would be helpful to other TsN'rs if you let us know where you bought the Milltek from, so everyone else can benefit from the great prices you've managed to get. Decked
Revo code is based ontop of the 6463. Got a dyno printout somewhere of 276bhp with ST Milltek.
Mook
Thanks Decked. Wasn't aware of this ST won't normally give you any increase in BHP as the Milltek centre silencer that it replaces is effectively a straight through pipe with a silencer wrapped around it. It just gives a fantastic noise, which was too loud for my neighbours Was 276 with sports cats as well?
lenny
Sports cats came from here: http://www.vwspeed.co.uk/index.php?cPath=78 They have just removed the listing this morning Looks like I got a real bargin??????????
Decked
No, Revo, CAI and ST Cat-back. I'm sure i'm going to have to go AMD though with a shiny SC. I'm going to see what Revo can come up with....
