rumplypluto
Hi Some muppet decided to give me a shunt form behind in his new C2 yesterday. I checked out my car but cant see any damage. The only thing I noticed was that the bumper moves forwards about 1 inch when pushed in the middle and I cant remember if it did that before!! Everything else lines up fine and there are no signs of any clips being broken underneath. Can someone tell me if this amount of movement is natural on a 2002 A4 avant. badbaz
Don't take it for granted that there won't be any damage - get it inspected properly at a reputable insurance accident repair centre - preferably Audi one. It wouldn't be the first time I've had a customer come in and say somebody ran into the back of my car the other day but it's all right there's no damage, you should have seen the other car! Ha Ha! Then when you go to get the spare tyre out you can't because the floorpan has been crushed and the bumper popped back into shape!! Get it checked and let the other lose his no claims bonus!! peteA3TDI
my 02 avant bumper has no movement at all (only the lower skirt can move) sounds like the crash bar behind the bumper has bent/moved, get it checked as you are not paying
