TonyD
Nice....... are you wearing your driving hat with that Ari??
Ari
Good God no. It would look ridiculous in anything other than a Cabriolet!
Keegs
Ari, get any funny looks when u took a photo of an A4 estate in a shop car park?
Ari
I did it very subtly... Anyway, I have no shame. You've seen my hat!!
s4dreamer
I've nothing against green cars (Daz) as I've had a green A3 myself, but I do not think the A4 is well suited to that green (Cactus Green, if my eyes do not deceive me).
Ari
It's lighter than Cactus Green. My last A3 was Cactus and was a much nicer colour than this. That photo isn't a very good representation actually. Agree it is too light for the car, it needs to be Dolphin grey or dark blue in my opinion... Ari
Thats odd. The insides of the front doors are different, look... Passenger door...
Ari
Drivers door...
Ari
I'm sure the doors match in my Cabrio. in fact I don't remember seeing a car with odd door interiors before...
s4dreamer
Now I'm going to have to go and see if they're different in my A4 (although mine's a B6, and that's a B5 isn't it ?)
Ragdude
Ari, "You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!" not the drivers door grab handle!! Seriously though what's Claudia doing back at the dealers again - more trouble?
Ari
S4D, it is a B6, it's a 52 plate. RD, she's in having the niggly little things put right that they were meant to do last time and didn't!
s4dreamer
Ha, I realise it's a B6 now, because the driver and passenger door interiors are just like mine. So, yes they are different - very peculiar, and well spotted. Still looks like a Cactus Green B5 from your photo though Ari
SteveCab
very weird! i just went out to the car to check mine, and both my doors have handles that go up like the passenger door in your photo. looks very odd having different handles!
apreading
I noticed this a copule of days ago. Weird innit? What I couldnt understand was the fact that this means even less components are reusable from LHD cars. Really doesnt make economic sense to me. Ari
Just been to pick Claudia up. Have to say, that A4 Avant is a very pleasant car and very practical, but getting out of that and straight into the Cabrio, even with the hood up (it's raining) the cabrio feels so much more special somehow. Not sure why, I think you maybe sit lower in the Cabrio (or the sides are higher), the aluminium dial surrounds and the gorgeous aluminium framed round vents on the dash. The gear change feels nicer (shorter gear lever perhaps?), the snug cosy "coupe like" feel with the hood up dunno just feels like a very special place to be. No disrespect to the Avant, it was a very fine car, but the cabrio is something else somehow...
