stewarta13wsb
I've not had mine long, and somebody more sensible will come along shortly, but I'm sure it'll be the 2 speed warning settings. Glance the handbook and it'll tell you how to switch off or set to your own requirements.
CarMad
You have two bleeps. One is set for each journey I think it is and one is permanent. I set one to 90ish so if I put my foot down and be silly it tells me. The other I never use I don't really see a major use for it. Can't remember how to do it off the top of my head but have a look in the manual and it will be easy peasy.
runflat
Easy to turn off or adjust (they are annoying IMO). Just follow the instructions in the handbook. It is under the DIS section, page 42 in my Sportback manual, not sure what page in 3dr version.
LeadFoot
Only had my A3 a fortnight mate, according to the trip computer I had been in the car a full two minutes minutes before it shouted at me for going to fast! Almost piled the car from laughing...I'm afraid I'm terribly easily amused! Anyway I pushed and prodded those long sticky out buttons between the speedo and rev counter for a bit and after resetting the mileage half a dozen times I managed to disable the whinging old tart! Hasn't bothered me since! I've been threatening to take the time out to read the owners manual for the last two weeks but I can't help but think that doing that would just spoil my fun....it's not a car, it's a fekkin' adventure! Chillihead
Lol, everyone is correct. There are two user defined speed alarms, one is set/reset by pressing and holding the left display button. One press deactivates it one long then one activates it at the current speed. The other is activated whilst the car is stationary, this is set in 5 mph increments and is accessed via the same button. Can be annoying, although if set at 99 it really is a licence saver. (All that silent power)
Hopsta
Number 1, just hold down the clock button and you'll see the same MPH sign but with a line through it. Number 2, leave keys in posn 1 press the button and then use the Trip buttons on the side of the right hand stalk to increment the MPH 2 setting. I think that you set it as 0 mph ro cancel permanently. G
