Haven't seen you for a while Richy, didn't you used to have a 1.8TQ after that one?

[/ QUOTE ]

He had a 1.8TQ demonstrator as a loan car - I nearly bought it as an ex-demo once he'd finished with it, but in the event I bought a differently specced one: partly on the basis of his review of it 169144-ok.gif

Always happy to help.

I had an Ebony Black 1.8T Sport after the blue one. Same spec except for exterior colour and the addition of Bose.

Then I had a near miss ordering a Merc CLK 200 Cab but it was dog slow, silly money and poorly built. Then I went all stupid and ordered my Boxster last November which was the same price as the CLK I'd specced. Problem is, it's so full on, I have to use Mrs Richy's slushy Merc C class to calm me down for some motoring sanity.

Glad you're all enjoying your cabs. It is still by far the best 4 seater cabriolet on the market and in some ways, I wish I'd pushed to get a high spec Quattro as I still think I'd be driving it now. 169144-ok.gif

CabLad : have you had any interest in your car yet

Not privately mate no but I've only advertised it on here. I have been bid fairly decent prices in P/X though

To be honest I think I'm going to hang on to it, maybe another run to AMD for some stage 3 action and then buy myself a new daily driver. If I do get offered close to £22K though that all could change in an instant!

Yikes, you take delivery or realise your mistake in time, saving the hit to your wallet? shocked.gif

I was seriously looking, had a couple of test drives, spec'd a car, talked finance etc etc, but it took so long for the dealer to keep responding, we reached late October and then Autocar had it's first review of the 987 Boxster. That was the deciding point - CLK200 Cab or 987 Boxster for the same money, both loaded to a similar spec except for an auto box on the Merc. For me, it was a no brainer.
