Now I've got my S4 - couple of questions

Now had my S4 for almost a week. Even managed to get up to 20mpg round town - unfortunatley most of the time it's more like 15!. Two questions for you all:

Tyres: Sure it's been asked a thousand times, but: Car has Conti's on now. Expect it'll need new ones in couple of months. On my 1.8T Q S-Line with same size tyres, I had P-Zero Rosso's and they lasted amazingly well (30K on one set! - although was mainly motorway). EVO magazine recommends Eagle F1's on their long-term S4 - what do you guys think?

Second Q: The back seat footwell lights (that are actually located under the front seats) don't work - all other interior lights do, and I can't believe these have their own dedicated fuse - any thoughts anyone?

Thanks - Chris

Just watch it when you go for the Milltek! Have noticed my mpg has taken a turn for the worse since... probably cos i'm playing for the exhaust note constantly! ECLIPSe.gif

Reckon we should be able to manage 19 around town with [quite a] bit of self control... the novelty of fuelling up several times a week soon wears off.. I had 25.4 on the motorway doing a steady unhurried cruise at 75 the other week, reckon it'd have kept getting better too if I hadn't have had to exit..

I reckon that the stage 3 on mine has reduced fuel consumption compared to the std S4 as I've managed to see an average of 30mpg on a 18 mile route from work one day travelling through lots of villages which involves a lot of gear changes. I must admit I did drive like a granny to achieve that figure, although I can easily get 22mpg+ driving daily with mixed driving wink.gif

On Tyre's F1 GSD3's.... I had them on my S3 and about to change on to them on my S4 in 2 weeks time after lengthy trips to Birmingham and London (about 2k miles left in them now) Will let you know how they perform then if you have enough tread in ther meantime.

As for lights if the units are there they should work. I didn't specify the interior light pack but I have them in mine.

Fuel economy, it will do 30mpg. On a typical run to Birmingham from Toonside I average 27 mpg at just over 3000 rpm and above.

Average combined daily commute and weekend blast is 24mpg.
