TRM_R32
Hi, Just purchased my R32 (which I collect on Friday from Stockport) to say im excited is an understatement. Never been in to cars and always though of them as nothing more then a pest!! But having test drove my (still getting use to saying my, although technically it’s ours me and the Mrs) R32 there was only ever 1 choice – we have upgraded from the 1.8T (180bhp) which was and still is a lovely car but it seems that the R32 would leave it standing. Anyway, im looking at upgrading the exhaust pretty much ASAP and heard that you can get an induction kit for around £500 (is this true). Well, here I am – hope to chat to many of you and within the next week hope to have a few pics up

Mook
Welcome to Tyresmoke TRM For exhaust systems, you can look at either Milltek www.milltek.co.uk or Blue Flame www.blueflameperformance.com The majority of people on TsN have gone for the Milltek system, primarily because it has been on the market for the R32 for longer, although the Blue Flame system is cheaper. Milltek have the added advantage that they also provide high flow sports cats, which will give you around an extra 8bhp over the stock cats. You can source the system yourself or get a fully fitted system from www.amdtechnik.com, who also conveniently happen to provide remaps and various other upgrades for your car - anything from 270+ bhp right up to 365+ bhp if you bolt on a supercharger with intercooler. You can get several induction kits now, anything from www.eiptuning.com to www.ecstuning.com or www.neuspeed.com if you are looking for a Cold Air Intake (CAI) where the K&N filter sits behind the front bumper, or you can go for Carbonio and a couple of others. Run a search on CAI at the bottom of the R32 forum for some recent threads on this. DanR32 and I both run the EIP Tuning CAI and are very pleased with them - just be prepared to wait for six weeks for it to come in from the USA... Best of luck, and most of all, have fun!
