Chrisg
ops not that fast on a motorway at night with nothing about. In the Midlands you are allowed to do 150+ ( in an Omega - yeah) if testing the driving parameters........ 'spose that didn't work Bummer Avus_Bub What have your insurance co said? I mean they haven't had much of a risk for 56 days have they?

Avus_Bub
[ QUOTE ] What was the effect on your insurance Bub? [/ QUOTE ] I'm going to wait untill I've got my licence back, so I can quote correctly........... Just like my ban it'll probably be a Fecking lottery I'm hoping for an increase of 30% odd. But who knows? - They've got me by the Bo******. I only did 8k miles in the A4 last year too. Am I right in thinking that it will only go up at renewal (Feb)? Or can they just tell me to Pi** off now, or cough up? BUB
Chrisg
I believe that companies can cancel your insurance -- just like that or charge you loads £££££ Of course if they were really enlightened then they may think you've learnt and that you will be less speedy in the future 113 mph - frankly - on the grounds of safety I'd be less worried about that than some of the idiots I see daily driving around roundabouts , junctions etc one handed whilst talking on the phone ! Avus_Bub
All back on the road chaps - Chav it does feel great to be back on the road - But I had my doors blown off by a RS6 Avant last night which was a bit of a bitter pill It was Avus and looked the dogs though As far as Insurance goes don't ask I've had to take just under a 50% hike which is NOT nice but it's not too bad in the grand scheme of things as with nearly 10 years no claims my premium was pretty low anyway. It's great to be back in the A4!! I promise to be a better boy from now on BUB
Chav
At least you're back on the road mate! Could have been worse than a 50% hike for sure. Better set that MPH limit to 84 or so from now on!

P_G
Congrats Bub on getting your licence back. Having been in the same situation before it is a fantastic feeling to be able to get in a car again when you want and drive. Public transport is OK but it doesn't beat a car.
