PeterPiperTwo
It's time for me to invest in some new tyres for the S4. Can I have opinions on what I should consider. Currently standard S4 18's

P_G
Keep looking for F1 GSD3's, you won't regret it. Blackcircles.com have them and will recommend a local dealer to fit. Have just changed mine last weekend and the difference from the Conti's is unbelieveable. Quieter, compensate for understeer better and heaps more grip generally, and they're just being run in at the mo.
P_G
Whereabouts do you live in the world? If local to me or in London S.E. region I could recommend somewhere.
iantate59
[ QUOTE ] Having a problem getting Eagle F1's, anyone tried PS2's? [/ QUOTE ] We've got PS2s on our A4 Cab and they're much better than the Pirelli P Zeros that the factory fitted to the Cab. The PS2s are a good tyre noise-wise and grip-wise. There will always be the debate between F1s and PS2s. I believe they're comparable tyres (I must say I haven't had a set of F1s it's just what I've read many times) but the Michelins are usually more expensive. If you're in to looks though, the Eagle F1s have a better looking tread pattern (IMHO). Just my two-penneth worth.
ian_m
I had PS2's on my A3 and have replaced them with Eagle F1's, IMO the F1's p1ss all over the Michelins and I wont ever be using Michelin PS2's again

P_G
I've had PS2's and Pilot Premacy's and nothing has been better than F1 GSD3's, although DJBS4 seems to think his Toyo R1's on his S4 are comparable if F1's are that hard to get hold of. John_Doe
Genti, in 19 inch Extra Load form I might add..... Remember that Audi have historically fitted the Conti Sports as standard to select models!
CraigR
As said above, i cannot see past the Goodyear Eagles, my cab had Dunlop sp's fitted and the current car has Continentals, both are noisier on the road and the dunlops were defo more slippy than both the others. The Goodyears seem to have more grip than the others, and they look very pretty

John_Doe
On the contrary my learned friend, the gent was pushing on nicely and I was unable to make out whether reckless driving was involved...twas a lovely Black beauty S4 B6 on an 04 plate I believe, and in our favour I have never seen an S4 driver being anything other than a knight of the road!! P_G
Ah ha, it is the same guy then. Mine is a B6 on a 54 plate, and I have seen the same S4 be a little unorthodox in his lane switching going into Chetser le Street on the A1 switching from outside to inside / turnoff at well over 100+ and scaring the locals who have never witnessed such speed in their Daewoo's.
