h5djr
Here are the instructions on how to remove the door panels from the ElsaWin electronic workshop manual. Re-installing is just the same in reverse. Hope it helps. Remove front door panels

Calibos
Dave, Could you post a link to the Ebay Seller again, whom you got the ElsaWin from. Thinking of picking up some of the bits from the interior light pack and retro fitting them. Haven't got the prices for all the bits but the ones I did see seemed quite reasonable. Its the Labour Cost that is the real deal breaker with a dealer retrofit it seems.
h5djr
Hi Calibos. If you go to eBay and do a search for 'elsawin' it will give your around 10 to choose from. The price is generally around £8.99. Good value and full of useful information. Not strictly legal as they are back-up copies are you are supposed to own an original copy but Audi/VW will not sell us a copy so.....
h5djr
Hi corin Here are two files. The boot speaker .pdf contains the instructions from the Elsawin manual and the speaker-parts.pdf which contains the page from the Etka parts catalogue shows the speakers. Hope they are of help. boot speaker.pdf speaker-parts.pdf

Chillihead
Now that is very useful, thank you. Is it available online?
h5djr
No. I don't think Audi would take too kindly to us publishing what are, if fact, illegal copies of some of their copyright material online.
corindm
I bought a copy too, can anyone post some basic instructions on how to get to the diagrams. It's probably the most unusable software i've ever seen!
h5djr
Corin As you know I've got a copy on my pc and find no problems at all using it. The first thing you have to do each time is to tell it which Make, Audi or VW, what your Sales Model number is (8P1) in the case of an A3 - 3-door or Sportback and which year. Then use the More button to scroll down the list and double click on a particular model and engine type. For my A3 2.0 TDI I choose 8P1 CLU as my particular model 8P1 CLX is not listed. After that just go the the Workshop Manual section and the area of the car you are interested and keep clicking the + boxes to open up more detailed areas a bid like directories in windows explorer. When you find the area, diagrams and instructions that you are interested in you can high-light all and copy them to the clipboard using Ctrl-C and paste them into a word document and print if you want a paper copy. In the case of the ones I sent to you, from the word document I used Acrobat 4.0 to create a PDF file. If you need any further help email me or post here and I will try and help if I can

corindm
that was pretty much what I was doing, but having found the correct vehicle, whenever I goto workshop manual, I get a 'selection barred' message in the left hand pane of the window. any idea why? h5djr
Have you set yourself up as a user with ElsaWin Admin ? If not go to C:\ElsaWin\bin and double-clock ElsaAdm.exe. When this loads go in and make yourslf a user with full admin rights, a user name and a password.

h5djr
Well I no idea why yours is not working. All I can suggest is that you email me a copy of the directory structure of your copy and I will compare it with mine. The only time I've seen the 'Selection barred' message is when I tried to look up some data about my wife's Polo. It seems that the version I have just contains the Audi data and not the VW data. But I did buy it as an Audi Elsawin so I'm not too bothered. Other than that I can only suggest you contact the seller and ask them if they have any ideas.
