sayerbloke
Shall we try again? DanielH, please report back to this thread and repost your image! For those of you that saw the reason the original post got removed but maybe missed the follow-up, it *was* a "bandwidth-stealing image", Mook wasn't comparing the car to... what the picture actually appeared as! sayerbloke
I wrote a much better response last time but lets just go with the main three points I made: 1)Oh dear God, that`s ghastly. 2)Why? Buy a 1 series or, for those that want something bigger, buy a 3 series. 3)Just... No.
Mook
To everyone who read the last thread before it was removed, I am truly, truly sorry if I caused offence. This was totally and completely unintentional. I linked to a pic on an external web site which came up when I did a search for a car I was comparing the new 3 series to. Apparently it was swapped for some users looking at the pic to something totally inappropriate for a forum like TsN. I've learned my lesson on this - don't link to external pics! Sorry once again. Chav
Point (2) has a major problem though sayer... the 3-series is just as hideous from the back!

No-one should post any more pics of that 1-series saloon. It's truly offensive!

But for those in the market for a BMW, buy a one-series hatchback or a 3 series saloon/coupe. This isn't really going to find a niche to call it`s own. Basically, the two reasons for buying a 1-series over a 3 series [physically smaller and cheaper] won't apply with this new one! How many Ford Focus saloons do you see compared to the hatchback? How many Jettas compared to the hatchback? How many Astra saloons or Nova saloons compared to the hatchback? Most of those didn't have the drawback of looking a hell of a lot worse than their smaller brothers, but still don't sell...
