Where do we start?

MK1 fuse box in on the N/S of the car and the mk2 is on the O/S, So what ever you do all the other wires in the car will have to be extended to meet the other fuse box.

The fuel line will have to be moved to the O/S of the engine bay the washer bottle move to the other side, unless your using a scirocco inlet manifold.

You need to make new top hose for the rad.

Yes you will need the scirocco carriers and outer CV joints, You need the MK2 16v brake servo and master cylinder and Peugeot or Fiat dist cap (to clear the larger servo). There also all the little bits i've missed, Good luck cause it well worth it when it done 169144-ok.gif

When we did it [it's a long time ago now crazy.gif] we used all the mk2 wiring for the front of the car (fuse box/dash/engine/lights)

the only wiring left to sort is that going to back (fuel pump /lights)

we also used new mk2 fuel lines (plastic) from the pump/tank to the front as the original lines (metal) were a bit 'old'

It made a 'fun' car grin.gifshocked.gifgrin.gif

make a good job of the brakes....the originals will be on the limit..!

good luck 169144-ok.gif

you mentioned plastic fuel lines.any chance of knowing where i can get some from, it saves me using the old lines.also is it possible to install the mk2 dash without extending the wiring, as i was thinking of relocating the fusebox to the same side as it is in the mk2.thanks again.john

The fuel lines were std VW parts for a mk2 golf gti 16v

I can't remember all the detail of the dash/wiring ?.....we did move the fuse box to the mk2 side of the car (remember cutting metal to get it in)

I am meeting up with my son on Sunday [it was his car] I will check the details and let you know.

cheers 169144-ok.gif
