kittz
Hi guys not sure if this is in the right place(new forum user) ok quick run down sunday oil warning light buzzing and flashing, engine still running ok. got AA out who suspected low oil pressure, since had mechanic look it over, still got oil pressure, filter and sensor switch changed among other things done to it mechanically ok just had diagnostics on it today cannot find fault, can anyone advise next move, having auto electritian to run through voltage tests to test electrical. Or has anyone been through similar experience? i also had to bump start car for first time week before problems and clocks etc reset wondering if its thrown all electrical out of sync and if so why was'nt it shown on chip diagnostics? any help on the matter greatly appreciated kittzz

jonboy3020
try soft resetting ECU by removing battery terminals for ten mins then reconnecting, quite easy to throw electrics out on polos through jump starting, I have had them blow abs units etc.. (not trying to alarm you), ask local dealearship to run a guided function test on all control units afterwards
jonboy3020
also, a common fault if car has been run on poor oil is the oil pick up (for the oil pump) gauze clogs up with carbon, advise checking
Donbikerider
How big a job is it to get to the oil pump gauze? is it doable on a ramp without stripping out the engine ? Don
