never thought I would see an A4 with wheel trims. But I spotted this in Slovenia yesterday and I think it looks pretty bad.... how could Audi even consider it an option?

Nice! I always play the 'check the nasty spec' game when I go on holiday (V sad I know) smirk.gif

Those wheels look like 15"s too ............................ ROLLEY~14.GIF

That is foul. Completely spoils the whole look of the car. Quite by concidence I saw a black B6 A4 in Dublin on Wednesday, and that too had wheeltrims (although not as dung.gif as these). It was a 1.6 ROLLEY~14.GIF and about as basic an example as I have ever seen. I felt quite deflated after seeing that, but further up the road was a 1.gif so that cheered me up no end. cool.gif

Mind you, given that Audi have always resolutely designed their suspension for German roads, and it gets more than a little erratic on UK blacktop, you do wonder whether balloon wheels (rather than alloys and low-profile tyres) are basically a vital survival option in Slovenia...

OTOH it's entirely possible that ex-Yugoslavian roads are still better than British suburban ones so maybe I shouldn't cocky crazy.gif

The wheels on this A3 are not trims - they are alloys. If you look in the A3 catalogue you'll see them listed. I agree they're fugly but they're definitely alloys - I've seen a similar car with them on.

Ugh - nasty. I have to say I've never seen an A2 with those on - and with good reason! Hopefully those monstrosities have never made it further than early publicity shots. Flush.gif

Hit that Google. wink.gif

Interesting that you emphasise the fact that Volvo don't currently fit trims, but then post a picture of an old Audi 80 from 1992-94, a period when trims were the norm for most cars! I owned two early '90s Volvos and neither of those had alloys.coffee.gif
