lenny007
Hoping someone on here has used on of the above as a daily runner and whether or not you can get kids seats in the back of them. Any help greatly appreciated.
dgl
No idea as to practicality of seating but wasn't the 928 a 5 litre engine? Sounds a little thirsty for a family car!
dogbucket
My sister has a 944 S2 and they use it as a weekend car with her husband and two kids (13 and 8). The boot is plenty large, but leg room is limited in the back so when both the kids are lanky teenagers I doubt they would fit comfortably. However at the moment it is working for them. They have had no problems with it so far, other than replacing some worn trim and stuff which you can get from specialist salvage yards. its a nice solid car
RichTT
Good ones are absolute bargains-the build quality on a 20 yr old 944 is far superior to my 3 yr old BMW 330. The brakes on the 944 are far superior, even better than on the M3's and probably all the new BMW's.
lenny007
Thanks guys. I've had a bit of a think and reckon that the 928 is a no-goer. It'd cost too much to keep on the road compared to the 944 and i couldn't justify the cost to myself or the missus. Ironically enough, someone was visiting the neighbours last night and they had a beautiful S2 in metallic charcoal grey. Had a bit of a mooch around it and i reckon the back seats would be big enough for little legs for a couple of years anyway (which is all i'd want to run one for). However, i'm now onto the 944S2 v 968 debate. Brum, brum.
Golfer
The 928 is plenty big enough for kids up to 13 years old, golf clubs and electric trolly fit easy also, I had a s2/S4 and GTS, all gave 25 MPG if not "pushed" Servicing can be expensive, look for a specialist, buy a car with full Porsche history(with reciepts) and U can't go wrong. Classic car insurance a bonus, best regards AJ
