jonboy3020
Hi everyone, wondering if anyone can help.... I have a 51 plate WRX with serious issues, upon investigation I have seen a small sensor in the exhust downpipe near the turbo outlet, next to the lambda sensor, has anyone got any ideas what it is? its a long thin sensor wihtout a shroud, so is not used for gas analysis!? asked eveyone from scooby dealerships through to prodrive technicians and noone has the foggiest! kerbside
It IS a temperature sensor. It is there to aid the O2 sensor. The exhaust runs cooler when the mixture is rich and hotter when lean.
