mulkbear
I work next to a BMW dealer, every day i drive past it and i smile when i see the cars parked on the grass area out side the dealer because when the seasons change the cars change i.e When it was hot in the summer 3 very nice M3 soft tops where parked there. When it was warm at the end of the summer there were M3, and a M5 and at the moment there is three X5's Are the dealer's trying to get me into det or what I dream of having one, one day saying that i have never seen a parked there Are the M3 and the X5 drive as good as they look ? MOSE
I cant really comment on the X5, but having owned a 54 M3 Cab, I can say it is a very drivable car with fantastic performance. However, if you are considering buying one, dont buy a naff one like I did. Steer clear of cars whose production dates fall on a Monday or a Friday. Mine fell on a Friday......says it all really. NewNiceMrMe
Victoria BMW Silverlink (Priory as we really know it, and the dealership to which you're referring) are superb when it comes to these tactics Mulkbear. In fact, out of all the dealerships in the UK they are one of only 3 that have recently been awarded the highest marks possible in a BMW inspection.....and they came out top of everyone. That probably goes a long way to explaining why I bought my 3rd BMW from them in a row. Oh, and as Mose says, the M3 is a quite incredible drive. If I was buying again, I'd not buy a Convertible though. It'd be a Coupe in Steel or Silver with Imola leather and everything else possible. For the sheer driving thrill of involvement, it's up there with the very best.

loddrik
X5's are superb, a big 4x4 has no right to drive like that. Driven a 3.0 Sport, a 4.6is but my favorite was the 3.0d Sport.
theduisbergkid
I'm sure the X5 is technically superb, I just can't get past the "footballers wives" image ...
