pingpongpo
I tried to install this on my new computer last night so I could share all my copyright free files to the world. Installed it off a backup cd I had made and tried to run it as normal but it just says connecting in the bottom left hand corner of the console screen. On my old computer (XPSP2 full updates) it used to run ok and now it just won't connect. I've tried mucking about with the firewall settings and this makes no difference. Has windows installed some lovely secret anti-piracy shite on my computer without me knowing?
Regulator
Are you running a network? I find that some p2p applications don't run nicely on my machine but, on my old gateway, they work a charm. If u r running a network, sometimes being in passive modes don't allow you to connect to the p2p progs. I believe it has something to do with the ports open in the machine, but best 2 ask some networking specialist who will know more.
JoeNobody
Does anyone still use Kazaa (or K-Lite)? Try eDonkey instead.
MOSE
I got rid of most of the P2P applications on my network at home as they seemed to completely take over everything. But for a little while now I have been using the lastest version of Limewire and have not had any grief with that at all, worth checking out, they have a trial version floating about somewhere, and there's NO SPYWARE or ADVERTS either.
