frazervisser
Just did my first long run the GTI up to coventry, i averages 43.9MPG and only used 1/2 tank of petrol there and back. i love having a 200bhp sports car that also produce those lind of figures. PS i saw 3 black MKv GTI's on the M1!! looking good
dazdot
[ QUOTE ] 43.9MPG [/ QUOTE ] You must have a very light right foot. I can only dream about them sort of figures.
frazervisser
My GF is a very bad motorway passenger - therfore 70mph, slow lane all the way but it does prove what the car can do
scotw
Its certainly pretty respectable, doubt any R32 owners would get the same ! Suspect my right foot may be too heavy to get 43mpg, but if I average 30, I'll be happy.
Mook
[ QUOTE ] doubt any R32 owners would get the same ! [/ QUOTE ] I nearly fell out of the car when I checked the trip computer after coming back from Hammersmith to Dorset at a cruise controlled 80mph in my R32, a few weeks after I'd had the AmD Stage 4 conversion and a few other bits done. 31.6 mpg It will never get close to 40+ mpg, but I'm sure it's possible if you stick to 56 mph... Very boring though...
scotw
at 55 it'd not be worth it!

I've seen a nice Mk4 R32 in silver going the opposite way to myself on the Dorset-London via A303 route twice now.
R32North
I got 29.3 mpgs on the way to Dunblane the other day, with Mrs and wee one (10 weeks old) in the car! And I got 21.3 mpgs on the way back.... with only me in the car
