R32North
[ QUOTE ] yes they are road legal now [/ QUOTE ] But only if yuo have it regiestered, etc. You can't take an unreg'd Quad on the road. You need lights, brake light, V5, Tax, etc etc. The guys we ride Mini bikes with have Quads, 400cc, 650cc, etc and some of them are road reg'd. Really, really quick machines as well

simonb
I was on a 250 Honda the other week. Was topping out at 45 km/h but i think it was restricted. I had a look at prices and a 1999 model was looking at about £2k. I think this was well looked after. There's a place near me, the Rocket Centre (http://www.rocketcentre.com/) and they have loads. There was one there the other week bigger than a Fiesta parked up outside!! If you want to try proper quad-trekking first, i recommend http://www.glasfryn.co.uk/quads.htm - went for part of my stag do - lots of fun indeed! Woppum
Yamaha make the best bikes. The Banchie is fantastic, 2 2stroke motors wrapped together (125cc each) give you a real zingy top power band, but if you want grunt the Yamaha Raptor is the one to go for, a massive 600+cc 4-stoke thomper. If you are going to take it off road I'd recommend the banchee though, much lighter and you can really fling them about. God if your going to use them on the road you are really gonna go though tyres though!
simonb
Don't mean to be picky but it's 'Banshee' i think - just in case anyone is going to try and google or something like that!
