Care to explain matey beerchug.gif ? SMOKE6.GIF

[/ QUOTE ]Ahhhh well i think the BBC got my details from my ISP Bulldog to take part in a trial.

The BBC has made available all there tv shows and radio broadcasts 100% downloadable via a iMP (Interactive Media Player) you can select and search for individual programs, bookmark up coming ones for downloading etc, very handy if youve missed a show etc and especially when the new series of topgear starts wink.gif

You download their application after youve signed up and it works just like windows media player as its using bits of it.

It downloads them to your HDD so you can easily burn them to disc or copy them etc.

Its totally free at the moment aslong as i fill in a monthly diary of when ive watched certain channels, takes 1mins to fil out as its just tick boxes.

The quality of the downloads is pretty impressive...

Bitrate = 850.5kbps

Framerate = 25fps

Length = 30mins

Size = 187mb

Here's some more info www.bbc.co.uk/imp

iMP is an application in development offering UK viewers the chance to catch up on TV and radio programmes they may have missed for up to seven days after they have been broadcast, using the internet to legally download programmes to their home computers. iMP uses peer to peer distribution technology (P2P) to legally distribute these programmes.

Seven days after the programme transmission date the programme file expires (using Digital Rights Management - DRM - software) and users will no longer be able to watch it. DRM also prevents users emailing the files to other computer users or sharing it via disc.

[/ QUOTE ]Oh bollox.. so the file is useless after 7 days.... cant i burn it onto cd-r so i can watch it via my dvd player? Just rechecked the into movie with the player, it says you can watch them as many times as you want... it just says that each program will be available 7 days after it has been aired... which is basically the last 7 days worth of programs
