Thought I'd let you guys and gals know first...

I was chatting to Marcus at Fontain yesterday and he said that Revo has just announced that they're doing a special offer. Apparently the price has dropped £100 to £399+ VAT for the basic programme, i think it's called SPS1.

Anyway, if you're interested in getting some extra joy added to your car, just give them a shout. Seriously considering getting my A4 Tractor done...Hmmmmmmm

Remapping a diesel is one of the best things you could do. Sooooo much more torque than standard.

I used AmD rather than REVO for my Allroad TDI, but the end result was fantastic. 90 to 130 was scarily quick. In Germany, of course, not the UK.

Oh, and it's great fun smoking out ChavBoy behind you in his souped up whatever trying to get past you... 169144-ok.gif

Oh yes, this was just the excuse i needed!

Can finally get my golf tdi 130 done

It says on the Fontain website that the power goes from 130 to 180 bhp! (had to browse to the Bora page for the 130 engine but should be the same shouldn't it?) Is this figure really true?

On the Revo site, they quote that 130 becomes 170. Is this just a conservative final figure (for their own protection) or is it really 170?

I know that 10bhp doesn't seem alot, but as part of a 40-50hp boost, thats a difference of 20%

So is it 170 or 180bhp from the PD130 after the REVO remap?? confused.gif

Regards the power output.. it varies from car to car, but whether its 170 or 180 it will still put a smile on your face! 169144-ok.gif

OK, cool.

She's knocking on the door of 55k miles at the mo, so might get a service done before i get her chipped.

Last one was done at 41k smashfreakB.gif so i'd better get it serviced and hopefully can get it near to the magical 'one-hundred-and-eighty!'

Wouldn't recommend REVO remapping your car, frown.gif i own A4 1.9 TDI 130 Avant on a 53, had mine upgraded. You can tell the difference straight away but not anything great. Then had to take it to REVO HQ near Northampton as the remap wasn't working correctly. This seemed to sort the problem but a bit too much chewing around for my liking, and because of the HP gain being later on in the rev range, it seems like you have to flog the arse of it to go anywhere. I've done a bit more research after this and when i change to my new car, if i'm going to get a remap i will go with AMD. There remap is more similar to the cars stock performance and they seem to be the proper deal, alright you pay more but you get more for your money and it's not some dodgy mechanic who might know how to fix your car when something falls off, but when it comes down to laptops and ECU's they did seem to struggle (by the way i'm not slagging off mechanics, they do a great job). 169144-ok.gif

I had the same sort of problem as Ant. The guy who did my B6 A4 1.9tdi really struggled to get past the ecu timed lock out when trying to download the programme. Was told it was programmed but after a few days I went back and it turned out it had not worked. After another visit it was finally sorted. But with regards to the performance, you turn it off after having the Revo on for a couple of weeks and you notice the difference. Mine goes like a train and from 40mph onwards S3's and Type R's certainly do not make any progress away from my front bumper. It is quite vicious but I like that. When Im older maybe AmD?

But for stright line performance I reckon the Revo? Anyone who has better first hand knowledge please put me right!
